Do I need to have my own PC to use Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
Maybank2u Online
Financial Services can be accessed from any PC (with Internet access
and the correct browser software) such as your office, another person's
PC or even in a cybercafe. You do not need to use Maybank2u Online
Financial Services from a specific PC. However, we would like to
advise you to take the necessary security precautions when using
other PCs. Please refer to the section on Privacy
and Security Information.

Are there any charges for using Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
No, you do not
need to pay any charges for using Maybank2u Online Financial Services.
This is our way of encouraging more customers to enjoy and experience
the convenience of Internet Banking.
6.
Who can use Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
Everyone who
has an individual or joint (with ‘Either’ mandate*) account** with
Maybank can apply for Maybank2u Online Financial Services. To know
more about opening an account with Maybank, please call 1800-MAYBANK
(1800-629-2265).
* Joint account
with ‘Both’ or ‘All’ operating condition is not eligible for Maybank2u
Online Financial Services. ** Account refers to SGD Current and
Savings Account, Share Financing Account, SGD Housing Loan, SGD
Term Loan, SGD and Foreign Currency Time Deposit, Maybank Credit
Card.

Can companies use Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
At the moment
Maybank2u Online Financial Services is only offered to individuals
but we are enhancing it for other customers.
8.
How do I apply for Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
You can apply
for Maybank2u Online Financial Services through mail or ATM.
Through

Simply go
www.Maybank2u.com.sg and click Online Applications. Select Application
for Maybank2u Online Financial Services. Complete the particulars,
print and send the Application Form to us at:

ATM
If you have
an ATM card, you can also apply for Maybank2u Online Financial Services
through any of our ATMs. At the main ATM menu, select "E-Access
ID Application". You will be prompted to select and confirm your
6-digit PIN. Upon successful application, collect and check your
ATM receipt for your E-Access ID.
You can now
access Maybank2u Online Financial Services with your PIN and E-Access
ID printed on your ATM receipt.
9 . Can I access Maybank2u
Online Financial Services from overseas?
Yes. You can
access Maybank2u Online Financial Services anywhere in the world,
from any computer that has Internet connectivity and compatible
browser.

Yes. Maybank2u
Online Financial Services is a 24-hour service, available to you
day and night, anytime, anywhere.

Do I need to have my own PC to use Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
Maybank2u Online Financial Services can be accessed from any PC
(with Internet access and the correct browser software) such as

Do I need to install any special software?
You do not need
to install any special software to access Maybank2u Online Financial
Services so long as you have a compatible browser such as Microsoft
Internet Explorer (IE) 5.0 and Netscape Navigator 4.72 or higher.
These are the browsers that Maybank2u Online Financial Services
run on.

Do I need to upgrade my existing PC to access Maybank2u Online Financial
Services?
You can use
your existing PC to access Maybank2u Online Financial Services if
it meets the minimum system requirements. However, for a better
Maybank2u Online Financial Services experience, you may wish to
use a PC with the preferred system requirements.

Maybank2u Online Financial Services safe and secure? How safe is
my account information sent through Maybank2u Online Financial Services?
At Maybank,
we are committed to protecting our customers' information by employing
the most secured encryption technology (128-bit Secure Sockets Layer
or SSL) to safeguard all your information and transactions transmitted
over the Internet.
SSL encryption
will scramble all data between Maybank and your PC using a security
key. Only Maybank has this key to reassemble back the data. Any
other party trying to break this key will be faced with 200 trillion
possible combinations.
In addition
to SSL encryption, we also authenticate your unique Access ID and
PIN upon logon. Both are needed together for access to your account
information. We have also included a security feature that automatically
terminates your Maybank Internet Banking session after a period
of inactivity.

How can I upgrade my browser to 128-bit SSL encryption?
If you are using
Internet Explorer, the minimum requirement is version 5.0 and above.

What precautions can I take to protect my PIN and Password?
- Keep your
Access ID and PIN confidential. We would advise that you memorise
your PIN and avoid keeping any written record.
- Do not disclose
your PIN to anyone, even to someone reporting to be from the Bank.
Maybank staff will never require your PIN under any circumstances.
- When you
logon to Maybank2u Online Financial Services for the first time,
you will be required to choose your own Username and Password.
Do not use easy password such as your ID number, telephone number,
etc.
- Change your
password regularly.
- Always remember
to logout from Maybank2u Online Financial Services when you leave
your PC. .
18.
How do I know if the Internet banking pages are truly from Maybank?
Every time you
connect to Maybank2u Online Financial Services, your browser will
receive a "digital certificate". This certificate securely identifies
the site you are connecting to, and is used to establish the encrypted
session.
You can view
the contents of the certificate when you are connected to Maybank2u
Online Financial Services by double clicking on the image of a lock
or key located at the status bar (lowest part of the browser). This
certificate has been "digitally signed" by Verisign, the most recognised
issuer of digital certificates in the world.
The subject
field of the certificate should show the organisation as Malayan
Banking Berhad (Maybank). If other organisation name is displayed,
you may have connected to an illegitimate site. Do not enter your
username or password. You should report to us immediately at 1800-MAYBANK
(1800-629-2265).

What should I do if I think someone is using my accounts?
You should report
to us immediately at 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) during office
hours, and 1800-535 4084 or 1800-535 4142 after office hours.
20.
What should I do if I forgot my Username or Password?
You can apply
for a replacement Maybank2u PIN either by mail or through any of
our Maybank ATMs in Singapore.
To apply for
a replacement Maybank2u PIN through mail, simply fill up the Maybank2u
Online Financial Services Maintenance Form and mail it to
us. We will mail you the E-Access ID and PIN within 5 working days.
To apply for
a replacement Maybank2u PIN through any of our Maybank ATMs in Singapore,
you will need to have an ATM card. At the main ATM menu, select
"E-Access ID Application". You will be advised that you already
have an existing E-Access ID. When asked if you wish to reset your
PIN, select “Yes” and proceed to choose your new 6-digit
Maybank2u PIN.
In both instances,
you will need to perform the “First-Time Login” again, using your
new E-Access ID and PIN.
Note:
As part of Maybank's policy to protect our customer, your Username
will be locked out after 3 unsuccessful attempts.
21.
Can I change my password?
Yes, you can
change your password by using the 'utilities' facility within Maybank2u
Online Financial Services.
22.
What will happen if I forget to log out or leave my computer idle
for a period of time?
For security
reasons, there is a session time out where the system will automatically
log you out if you leave the computer idle for a period of time.
23.
What happens when my computer crashes or I get disconnected from
the Internet by accident? How will I know that the payment or
the transaction is effected?

Deposit Account information, which is as at the previous day

Yes, you can
transfer funds to another person's account maintained with Maybank
or other banks in Singapore

Is there a way that I do not
have to key in the account number of the 3rd party I wish to transfer
funds to every time I make a payment?
Yes, you can
register the payee name and account details using the Update Payee
Account List function under Funds Transfer.

What is Update Payee Account List?
Update Payee
Account List allows you to register/delete your favourite 3rd
party accounts with Maybank or other banks.
Payee Accounts
with Maybank
You can register up to ten Maybank accounts that you will be transferring
funds into on a regular basis.
Payee Accounts with Another Bank
You can register up to three other bank accounts that you wish
to transfer funds into. Once you have successfully registered,
you will be able to transfer funds into these accounts through
other electronic channels such as ATM, Dial-Link, Mobile Banking
(WAP), Cash Deposit Machine and iKiosk.
